The Committee

Helping Our Homeless

It is difficult moving from homelessness into a new tenancy. There are lots of things to buy at a time when money won’t stretch. Friends and family usually play a vital role helping out with basic essentials. But what if you don't have friends and family close by to rely on? Many tenancies fail in the early stages because people simply can’t buy the basic essentials that help turn a house into a home.

We support people who have been homeless and are moving into their new tenancies in Moray by providing packs of basic household items that help make a new beginning.

We also support other people in times of need, such as coming home from hospital or other emergency situation, but only if they are referred to us by a Support Worker or similar.

As well as goods, cash donations are also most welcome. Any donation, no matter how small, enables us to buy new items we need to replenish stock.

For example -

£25 buys a set of small electrical items e.g. Kettle, Toaster and Iron

£150 funds a full starter pack

PLEASE NOTE

Although we have many generous offers, we are unable to take any used electrical items or furniture e.g. beds, sofas, tables etc.

Some items can be donated to other charities. You may want to contact the following:-
